HOLT BEGG, Fay
October 8, 1940 - November 8, 2011

Heavenly Father has called home one of His special children. Fay Holt Begg passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011. Fay is survived by her loving eternal companion, Mike Begg, and children: Glen Anderson (Lorea), Laura Radtke (Gil), Carol Begg, Rosemary Dolesji, Bonnie Russell (Ryan), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Fay is also survived by her mother Jean Holt and brothers, Ed (Betsy) and Dan (Arlene) and is pre-deceased by her father Ed and older brother Harry Holt. Fay was born on October 8, 1940 in Peace River, Alberta. She served in the Canadian Navy and worked in printing and graphic arts before returning to school at the age of 43 for her teaching degree. Fay was a talented artist who taught school in Drumheller and the surrounding area and recently retired from Adult Literacy of which she was a strong advocate and supporter. Fay also served as a volunteer for many years in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints as well as in the Drumheller community. She loved the Saviour and worked hard to follow His example of love and service to others. She has now gone to join Him and will most assuredly continue her work of love and charity as she shares the Gospel in Paradise. God be with you ‘til we meet again. We will miss you. Funeral service will be held at the Church of Jesus  Christ of Latterday Saints at 1455 4th Avenue NW in Drumheller on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at 1 p.m. Interment to follow at Munson Cementery. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Alberta Literacy.
