Residents will have the chance to hear some world class voices ring through the valley this Thursday as the Summit Touring Choir out of Akron, Ohio, will be making a stop at the Canadian Badlands Passion Play Site.     The choir which features students from Grades 7-12 has competed nationally in the United States, performed in international festivals and toured Europe and China. They are on a Western Canada Tour and have found time to make a stop through Drumheller.
According to Kathy Little, manager of the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce, the choir was planning to come to take in the sights and sounds of Drumheller on June 30.  The choir contacted the Chamber looking for a venue to perform during their visit. The chamber contacted the Passion Play, and they found they were able to use the amphitheatre.
The choir features 45-56 choristers under the direction of Arlene Jacobs, and performs a Classical repertory ranging from medium to difficult. They perform Sacred and secular pieces.
The performance is on Thursday, June 30 from 12:15- 1 P.M. at the passion play site , there is no charge for the performance, rather a free will offering can be made.
