Mountain biking this summer at ski hill

biking2008.jpgThe Drumheller Valley Ski Hill will be expanding to mountain biking this summer with new paths throughout the hill, including a race track, a terrain park, and an access road to East Coulee.
The mountain biking will open June 1, and will be developed over a three to five year period. Zrinko Amerl who is the manager of the hill, decided on the expansion because the sport provides a lot of excitement and adventure. It will be one of only a few high caliber options for mountain bikers in Alberta.
“It’s a huge adrenaline rush,” said Amerl. “With the chair lift mountain bikers can go places they used to only dream of.”
When the lift is running, using the hill will cost $20, when the lift is not running, access to the area will be $10. Bike rentals will also be available for those who do not have their own bikes. The cost of a bike rental will be anywhere between $50 to $75.
The ski hill is located on South Dinosaur Trail adjacent to the Passion Play site.
For more information on the Ski Hill you can contact Amerl at 823-2277.
