The Bertram Drilling Midget Raptors had a close game this Saturday against the Taber Midgets, losing 3-2 at the Memorial Arena.

Taber took a two to nothing lead early in the game until Rober Sinclair notched two points to tie it up before heading into the third period.
With three minutes left Taber scored.
“They’re starting to come around,” said head coach Keith Hempel,” doing breakouts, penalty kills, and how to work a power play. One of the bigger things is staying out of the penalty box.”
“They’re a long ways from where we want to be, but it’s good at their level.”
Goalie Joel Pozzo stopped 50 shots on goal throughout the afternoon match.
Hempel said the team needs to work on skating faster, their puck handling, and having a tendency to not help each other out.
“Sometimes they don’t pass at times– if you don’t communicate with your team you won’t win, but that’ll all come yet.”
