Two Drumheller area WPCA competitors were honoured at an awards banquet on October 23 for the 2010 chuckwagon season.
Logan James and Colt Cosgrave both took home awards,  the Rod Glass Memorial Award for Most Improved  Outrider and Most Improved Driver, respectively.

“It’s an honour,” said James, 23, who is in his fourth year of competition. “There are a lot of big names on the trophy and who have been around for a long time.”
“This year went well, we got things clicking,” says Cosgrave, who’s been driving for 13 years.
Cosgrave admits to only having a few good years since starting his career, but things turned around this year and he’ll be heading to the Calgary Stampede next season.
With awards comes more recognition, cash prizes, and hopefully future work will come with it, too.
“People see how hard you’re working to improve and get better, so more guys will take a look at you,” says the outrider.
A night of celebration took place at the Deerfoot Inn & Casino in Calgary on Saturday, October 23, 2010. The annual World Professional Chuckwagon Association Awards banquet honoured those who achieved greatness this past season, as well as those who have contributed to the growth and prosperity of the most exciting professional sport in the world today.
The season will start again next June.
