FARMER
Brian Douglas

April 20, 1953 – January 14, 2019

Brian was born April 20, 1953 and passed away suddenly on January 14, 2019. He is survived by his daughter Pamela (Graham) MacRury of Surrey, BC and his son Corey Farmer of Chilliwack, BC. As well, Brian left behind loving siblings Alan (MaryAnn) Farmer, Maureen (Larry) Needham, Kevin (Linda) Farmer, Colleen (Doug) Finkbiner, Brenda (Don) Yavis, and Darrin (Betty) Farmer, all of Drumheller as well as numerous nieces and nephews, mostly from the Drumheller area. He was predeceased by his parents Doug and Alice Farmer and his big brother Tommy, also of Drumheller. Brian was a devoted and loving father, brother, uncle and friend to everyone. Brian received all of his schooling in Drumheller and after graduation, moved to Fort McMurray to pursue his career as a flooring and carpet layer. After a few years in The Fort, he moved to Abbotsford, BC where he spent most of his working life as one of the best in the industry. Due to an economic downturn, Brian returned to his childhood home to continue his career and lived with family members until his untimely passing. Brian lived his life for his children, his nephew Keagan, his love of fishing, golf and almost all outdoor activities, his beloved Toronto Blue Jays, his Vancouver Canucks, and most of all, his family. One of his favourite activities was playing in various hockey pools and he did so with a fair degree of success. Brian was a man of few words but had such a big heart. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him. A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at a later date.
