The Mail plans for possible postal strike: update

With the possibility of  the Canadian Union of Postal Workers taking strike action as soon as Thursday at midnight, The Drumheller Mail offers alternate plans for newspaper subscribers to receive their newspapers in the event of a work stoppage.

In the event of a strike, subscribers to The Drumheller Mail, who receive their paper at the Drumheller Post Office or Community Mail Box, can pick up their June 8 edition from one of our specially marked boxes outside the main entrances at the following locations:
• Freson Bros. IGA
• Riverside Value Drug Mart
• The Drumheller Mail
In the event that CUPW institutes rotating strikes, there will NOT be any noticeable disruption in newspaper delivery service from normal.
If the strike does happen, this Friday's inSide Drumheller will not be delivered to area mailboxes. The newspaper will still be available at numerous stands throughout town.
Post offices in the rural communities will be open. The Drumheller Mail newspaper will arrive as usual to the rural communities in the Drumheller area.
    Thank you for your patience.
Visit us online at www.drumhellermail.com for news and updates.

Update: As of 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 2, inSide Drumheller will be delivered tomorrow to your postal box as usual. Please watch for further updates.
