Mountain View Credit Union in Carbon robbed

Police are investigating a brazen midday robbery at the Mountain View Credit Union in Carbon.

            Over the noon hour on Wednesday, June 9, Drumheller RCMP received the call of a robbery at the Credit Union on Glengarry Avenue in downtown Carbon.

            A lone male suspect, wearing a dark coloured hooded sweatshirt and jeans, entered the branch and demanded money, he was given an undisclosed amount of funds by staff, and left the building on foot.

Police continue to investigate.

            Police are asking that if anyone has information on this incident to contact the Drumheller RCMP Detachment at 403-823-7590, or if they wish to remain anonymous and possibly qualify for a cash reward to call Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
