Gazebo installed as memorial to Drumheller 3

A gazebo has been erected to honour the memory of three Drumherller young people who tragically passed away earlier this year.
The gazebo, which now stands in Participark is dedicated to Kimberly Davidson, Trevor Pascoe, and Rachael Sorensen.
“The public was awesome, there is lots of support,” said Bill Davidson, father of Kimberly. He says it was his wife Suzanne’s idea for the lasting memorial.
It was a community effort. Davidson enlisted the help of Jaydee Bixby who helped start a Gofundme campaign and even did a Facebook live performance to help raise funds, and many from the community chipped in.
All three local dealerships contributed, and Westview Co-op donated material, as did Tanis Concrete and Rosedale Concrete supported the project. Dean and Garry Mahoney of Garry’s Welding contributed the stand for a memorial plaque.
The Town of Drumheller was supportive in allowing them a space to build, and last week, Davidson, Travis Cannan, Dale Posse, and Tyler Thompson were busy building. On Sunday, June 27, they officially opened the gazebo.
“We wanted something people, young and old, can enjoy. If someone wants to have a wedding down there in the future… they can use it,” he said.
