Marijuana seized from driver on Highway 9

    Drumheller RCMP have intercepted another sizable amount of drugs on Highway 9.
    On November 19 at about 6:30 p.m., Drumheller RCMP stopped an eastbound motor vehicle on Highway 9 for reported traffic violations.
    During the stop the officer noted indicators associated with the transportation of drugs. The driver of the car was arrested and his vehicle was searched. It revealed five pounds of marijuana.
    Paul Ngai, 28, of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan has been charged for possession of drugs for the purposes of trafficking. Ngai has no prior criminal record and was released on $2,500 bail.
    He is scheduled to appear in provincial court in Drumheller on December 14 to speak to his charges.
