Cosgrave chuckwagons have August date

The Richard Cosgrave Badlands Dinosaur Derby is returning this year in late August, featuring the same show seen every year at the dinosaur downs.
The chuckwagon races go August 27 until 29, starting at 7 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and 2 p.m. Sunday.     A new event for this year is the wild pony race, which sees kids chasing and attempting to mount ponies.
On Friday night, Hey Romeo, a country band featuring  Drumheller local Rob Shapiro will be entertaining.
The new dates for the WPCA sanctioned races are due to the original July dates being postponed until late August.
The event’s opening ceremony begins Friday at 6 p.m., following the annual mini-chuck races at Greentree Mall at 8:30 that morning.
