Anne

March 17, 1926 - July 28, 2018

Anne Beach, resident of Grande Prairie, formerly of Drumheller, AB, passed away on July 28, 2018 at the age of 92 years. Anne was born in the Ukraine on March 17, 1926. At the age of 51/2 the family moved to Drumheller where her father started a market garden. Anne married the love of her life Glen Beach on April 10, 1944. They were married 33 years and had 3 boys Richard, Allan and Ronald. Glen worked for Alberta Power and the family lived in Drumheller, Forestburg and Grande Cache. Anne always felt the most at home in Drumheller. She moved to the Grande Prairie Care Centre in 2012 to be closer to her son Allan. She enjoyed dressing up and accessorizing. She loved to dance and spent many weekends at community dances around the area. She also had a love of bingo and played a minimum of once a week, making family go with her if they were in town for a visit. Playing way more cards than most could handle! Anne is survived by her children Allan (Chris) Beach and Ron (Mary) Beach; granddaughter Melissa (John) Buck nee Beach); and great-grandson Jace (Beach) Buck. She was predeceased by her husband Glen, son Richard, her parents and all but one of her eight siblings. A Celebration of Anne’s Life will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Canalta Jurassic Hotel (conference room) in Drumheller (1103 AB-9). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta & NWT (#102 9823 116 Ave. Grande Prairie, AB T8V 4B4). The Beach family would like to thank the staff at Grande Prairie Care Centre who took such good care of Anne over the last six years.
