Five of Drumheller’s newest teachers were welcomed into the Drumheller Sub Local of the Alberta Teacher’s Association (ATA).
Drumheller Valley Secondary School principal Curtis LaPierre helped welcome Caitlin Mattatall, Karli Alm, Nicole Wollsey, Keven Hays, and Peter Bjel, with Greentree School principal Chris Connell and Sub Local president Stephen Wiewel.
On Thursday, November 7 Grade 1 and 2 students from Greentree School, following their school Remembrance Day ceremony, headed to the Acute Care Unit at the Drumheller Health Centre to distribute poppies they made to patients to help them honour Remembrance Day.

Following the Remembrance Day ceremonies at St. Anthony’s School on Friday, November 8, many students took a moment to thank veterns Dwayne Nagy (pictured) and Ed LaPlante.
