Pat Doyle is throwing down a challenge to local golfers.
The Friends of St. Anthony’s Drumheller Society is holding its annual fundraising golf tournament, and Doyle would like to see if anyone can make hole-in-one on hole five, for a cool $2,500
“We are looking for golfers. Form a team and save thirty dollars,” said Doyle.
Pat Doyle is honing his golfing skills for the Friends of St. Anthony’s Drumheller Society annual Nine and Dine fundraising tournament. Western Financial is sponsoring the fifth hole, where a hole-in-one wins $2,500.
The Nine and Dine golf tournament is scheduled for Friday, May 30, at the local Dinosaur Trail Golf and Country Club.
The tournament includes golf on the front nine of the golf course, along with a steak supper.
Doyle said the Friends of St. Anthony holds the tournament to provide funding for things such as graduation, school trips, and school equipment.
“We try and cover the costs of what school fees do not cover.”
Entry is $120 per person or $450 a team.
Doyle hopes to get about 72 golfers out to the tournament, the number is currently 32 people.
This will be the fourth year for the group’s golf tournament fundraiser.
