Three charged in Three Hills break and enter, assault


On March 30th, 2011 the Three Hills RCMP were dispatched to a 911 call of a break and enter in progress on Arena Avenue, Trochu AB. The caller stated that three males were seen kicking in a door at the Kings Court Complex and that all three males entered the residence.
 
The RCMP were in the area and arrived shortly after receiving the call and apprehended the three males as they exited the residence.  The three males were taken into custody without incident.  The investigation revealed the males broke into the residence and assaulted a resident.  The male occupant of the residence sustained multiple blows to the head, as a result of the assault.  The three accused's then proceeded to take $220.00 and the victims drivers license that was located in the victims pocket.
 
The victim was taken to the Three Hills Hospital. The victim suffered a broken nose, multiple broken teeth, and a possible concussion. The victim was released from hospital later the same day.
 
Two of the accused's are being held in custody to appear in court on Wednesday April 6th, 2011 at the Drumheller Provincial Court. The third accused was released on his own recognizance to appear the same date.  The three accused's face charges of Break & Enter, Assault causing bodily harm, and Robbery.
 
The incident is still being investigated by the RCMP.
