Drumheller Chrysler target of theft, damages

    Drumheller Chrysler is dealing with its second rash of thefts and damage to its property in less than a month after a number of tires were stolen early Tuesday morning. RCMP are investigating the incident, which happened sometime between midnight at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16.
    According to Rob Coleman of Drumheller Chrysler, a number of tires and rims were stolen right off trucks on their lot, and then the trucks were dropped on the ground damaging the vehicle’s rotors and brake components.
    Estimates on the damage range in the area of $10,000.
    According to Coleman this is the second incident in less than a month ago vehicles were damaged. The culprit’s attempted to steal tires, and smashed the windows out of some of the vehicles on the lot. The damages were in the $5,000 range.
    The Drumheller RCMP are asking the public if they have any information on this crime, or witnessed anyone in or around the dealership during the early morning hours of June 16, 2009 to please contact the Drumheller RCMP at 403-823-7590, or Crime Stoppers at 1800-222-TIPS (8477).
