Verdant Valley and DORCAS supports Colton's Place

IMG 1528

The Verdant Valley and DORCAS Women’s Institute showed support for community members facing family violence and donated $600 to Colton’s Place. This is a temporary domestic violence unit to keep families safe. Verdant Valley and DORCAS secretary-treasurer Pat Mcdougald, centre, presents the cheque to Major Robert Burrell, left, of The Salvation Army and community and family services worker Amanda Courtenay. The donation covers one month’s rent for the shelter.
