Drumheller RCMP arrest two for drug trafficking

Drumheller RCMP have arrested a male and a female from Red Deer on drug trafficking charges.
On Monday, June 27 at around midnight, Drumheller RCMP received a complaint of suspicious activity at a local hotel.
While investigating the complaint, two suspects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance. A search of the suspects and their vehicle resulted in a significant seizure of fentanyl.
Police located 273 grams of fentanyl, as well as seven grams of methamphetamine.
An imitation firearm was also seized.
Daniel Mulder, 53, and Carrie Remington, 41, both of Red Deer were charged with possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking.
Mulder and Remington were released on an undertaking to appear in provincial court in Drumheller on Friday, August 19.
