Town of Drumheller councillors and administration along with members of the Drumheller and District Chamber of Commerce, Economic Development Advisory Committee, Community Business Association (CBA), and Downtown Area Revitalization Plan (DARP) got together on Monday, June 13 for a sod turning ceremony at the new Triangle Plaza. Drumheller Mayor Heather Colberg thanked everyone involved over the last four years to make the new plaza, located on 1 Street West between 3 Avenue and Railway Avenue West, a reality. The new plaza will provide a central location in the downtown area for various events and help draw business and traffic into the downtown core. At the ceremony were (l-r) downtown business owner Deb Jungling of Jungling Works, Councillor Tom Zariski, Drumheller Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) Darryl Drohomerski, Councillor Pat Kolafa, Mayor Heather Colberg, Councillor Tony Lacher, CBA Chair Mike Fabrick, CBA Secretary Lynn Fabrick, Community Development and Social Planning manager April Harrison, Economic Development manager Reg Johnston, and Chamber of Commerce President Deana Hannem.
