An open casting call will be held this week for a CBC TV series called ‘Fortunate Son,’ set during the Vietnam war.
They are looking for men, women, and teens between the ages of 14 and 80 years old. They also are asking actors to bring any 1960s-era clothes which could be worn on screen to the casting call.
They are also looking for musicians to round out the cast. Specifically, the production is seeking experienced men and women that can play the ukulele, bongos, and guitar.
They are also looking for period vehicles made in the mid-1950s to late 1960s like cars, trucks (pickups or larger), buses, or cars pulling period boats or trailers. Photos can be sent to fortunatesonicturecars@gmail.com or brought to the casting call.

The series has been announced for the network’s 2019-2020 programming slate.
The casting call is on Friday, June 7 at the Canalta Jurassic Hotel at 1103, Highway 9 South in Drumheller from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
