Local Salvation Army celebrates centennial in new facility

The Salvation Army celebrated its centennial in Drumheller on Saturday afternoon, October 13, and the grand opening of its new facility.
There was music, food and fellowship as members of the church and community came out to mark the occasion. Also present were officers from throughout Alberta and The Salvation Army Band.
The Salvation Army in Drumheller now has all of its operations under one roof at 90 South Railway Avenue. This includes its social services, food bank, thrift store, and church. Captain Ben Lippers says he is most excited by the new building because it allows them to more effectively serve the community.IMG 5692
