Volunteers needed for Dino Derby

The Badlands Dinosaur Derby is coming up on August long weekend and volunteers are needed to help the event run smoothly.

For more information contact Mike Hansen at 403-820-0301 or Lydia Nastiuk at 403-823-3913.

The Dino Derby is just around the corner and the Stampede and Ag Society is looking for a few more good men and women to make the event go smoothly.
The Dino Derby has become a Drumheller summer tradition. The action-packed pony and chariot races provide heart-pounding action as drivers, wagons and outriders pound around the half- mile track at Dinosaur Downs.
After a long partnership with the WPCA, The Ag Society is enjoying its second year collaborating with the Alberta Professional Chuckwagon and Chariot Association (APCCA). This has worked out great, providing an exciting show for spectators.
This year promises even more action with a four-day show. The August long weekend will see shows on Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, and an afternoon show on Monday.
Board member Lydia Nastiuk says they need volunteers for a number of aspects to make the event a success. There are opportunities to volunteer in the kitchen or bar, all the way to parking or assisting with the event.        There are also opportunities to have your business recognized at  the event through sponsorship.
For more information on volunteering for or sponsoring the event, contact Mike Hansen at 403-820-0301, or Lydia Nastiuk at 403-823-3913.
