SAIT student to hone newsroom skills

The Drumheller Mail welcomes a new member to its team this spring.
Johann Kuschke, a journalism student from SAIT Polytechnic will spend four weeks working in Drumheller this spring as part of an internship for school.
Kuschke is currently in his second and final year of the journalism program at SAIT. He initially discovered his passion for writing in high school which lead to his pursuit of a career in journalism.
Aside from writing, Kuschke dedicates his time working as a ski instructor at Canada Olympic Park in Calgary during the winter.
He enjoys the active, fun and laid-back lifestyle associated with ski teaching, and feels it is a wonderful retreat from the fast-paced life of facts and deadlines that come with being a journalist.
After a 14 year history of growing up in Drumheller, Kuschke has been welcomed back to the valley to reconnect with the community and share the latest in local news.
He is eager to work alongside the experienced staff at The Drumheller Mail and acquire the necessary skills to further his career in journalism.
