St. Anthony’s introduces industrial arts

The new industrial arts lab at St. Anthony’s is an exciting new space that will bring hands on learning and technical skills to students.

Classes will begin in the new lab this upcoming fall, but the school is eager to offer these options. Welding, electrical, cabinet making, plumbing and mechanics will be a few of the industrial arts offered.

“I think it’s important for St. Anthony’s to offer these classes because it provides students with options and enables them to stay with the Catholic School System,” said Tom Stolz, a teacher at St. Anthony’s who will be teaching a woodworking class come fall.

Having this brand new lab will allow students at St. Anthonys to explore these skills, which could potentially lead them to a trade following high school if that is where their talent and interest lies. There was no such lab in the old school to offer these options.
