Town welcomes new Economic Development Officer

The Town of Drumheller announced they have hired Bob Cromwell as the new Economic Development Officer. The position had remained vacant since August of this year.

“We are really looking forward to Bob’s efforts in economic development,” said Connie Tremblay, chair of the Town of Drumheller’s Economic Development Task Force. “He is enthusiastic and we expect his energy, combined with that of the task force, will move us forward on a number of key developments in and beyond 2012.”
Cromwell has a 25 year background  in business development, tourism, marketing, sales, media, and communications.
Cromwell’s duties in Drumheller will include the implementation of the Tourism Master Plan, released earlier this year, and developing business retention and investment attraction strategies.
“With a new Economic Development Officer in place we can focus on Drumheller’s natural economic strengths, while positioning ourselves to be the most desirable community in east central Alberta to locate for business,” said Mayor Terry Yemen.
Cromwell will begin his new role on January 3, 2012.
