The family of Richard (Rick) Johnston would like to thank all our friends and colleagues for their immense support during this time of sorrow. Their cards, flowers, phone calls and email have been overwhelming for which I am grateful. Also, thank you for the quick response by EMS Drumheller, RCMP Cst. Andrew Grainger and  Mark Harrison, who were so kind and supportive that morning. Also, Victim Services, Sherryl, who stayed with me until family arrived. So many friends, thank you. Funeral services were held in Calgary, as years ago Rick made me promise that he would get a Police Funeral with the Honour Guard and bagpipes, (Rick spent 25 years with the Calgary Police Service), and 15 years with Starland County, (little did we know it would be this soon). For tributes, go to www.piersons.ca. Lydia Johnston, Lacie, Emmie and Ellice.    22p

The family of Bill “Ike” Anderson would like to thank family and friends for the phone calls, flowers, food and sympathy cards and warm words received at the time of Ike’s passing. Thank you to the EMS team who transported Ike to Drumheller Hospital and then to Red Deer Hospital. A special thank you to Janine for her thoughtfulness in accompanying Ike on the trip to Red Deer - we are sure having a familiar face and voice helped make the trip more comfortable for him. Thank you to the staff and doctors at Drumheller Hospital Emergency Care and the Stroke Unit at Red Deer Regional Hospital. To Chris Bohnet and Tara of Courtney-Winters your professional assistance and kindness were much appreciated. Thank you to the Royal Canadian Legion and Drumheller Institution for the ceremonies at the cemetery. A big thank you to Shelly, Diane and everyone at the Drumheller Legion for organizing the lunch and all your kind consideration in planning the celebration at the Legion. Also, a thank you to the staff at Drumheller Seniors Foundation, Home Care and the Physio Department at Drumheller Hospital for the care given to Ike over the past years and the kindness shown to us at the time of his passing.    22c

The Primrose family would like to thank everyone who sent flowers, food, cards and made donations to Three Hills Palliative Care in memory of Don Primrose. A special thank you to everyone in Rumsey who helped organize, prepare and serve the food for the lunch at the Rumsey hall. It was greatly appreciated.     22c
