EDWARDS, John Robert
July 5, 1921 - October 3, 2011


Passed away peacefully Monday Oct 3rd at Drumheller Health Centre with family at his bedside.  He was born in Drumheller and grew up in the Horseshoe Canyon.  He loved sports, playing ball, curling and horseshoes long after retiring from farming.

Passed away quietly Thursday Oct 6th at  Drumheller Health Centre with family present. She was born in Portland, Oregon.  She came as a child with her family to the Munson-Michichi area.  Music was a big part of her life.  She enjoyed many years working with children at Morrin School.

John and Lavinia married July 1, 1948.  Moved to Rowley area in 1950.  They built the family home and moved to the farm in 1954 where they raised their family of four.  They enjoyed time spent dancing, camping with family, and traveling with friends.  They leave behind a legacy of love, family and community. They are survived by their children Lynn Edwards, Jo (Paul) Berlinguette, Kim (Harley) Siebold, Glen Edwards. Grandchildren: Curtis (Ghislaine) Berlinguette, Candace Berlinguette (Mike Kneardon), Sherri (Robert) Zschuppe, Shawn (Nicole) Siebold, Wendy (Christopher) Kublik.  Great grandchildren: Zachariah and Alexander Berlinguette; Clint, Trevor, Kendal and Frances Siebold. Siblings- Beverly Buchwald, Luella Cosens, Shirley (George) Hughes, Phyllis Primrose, Clara Edwards, Gerry Edwards.  And many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Evelyn and Jim Sears, Gladys and Slim Fillingham, Scott Primrose, Jim Edwards, Craig Edwards, Vance Cosens, Glen Buchwald and nephew Jim Primrose. Memorial service to be held Saturday Oct 15th at 2:00 P.M. at Rumsey Community Hall. Donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Alzheimers  Society, MS Society.

Jo-Anne Kay Lesieur went to sing with her Angel granddaughter Chantel  on Sept. 28. Her “M.L.R.” Ross Powell and daughter Leah  were by her side. She also leaves her daughters Tracy & Carrie, Son Curtis, grandchildren Jaylene, Joey, Izzy, Josh & Tamara, Sister Dianna (Mike) Brothers Ronnie (Penny) & Brian, Ross’s family Jolene, Dustin & Amanda.

BROST, Grayson Jason Allan

Grayson Jason Allan Brost, beloved infant son of Jason and Christine, and beloved brother of Grace and Sophia, went to be with the Lord September 27, 2011. His memory will be forever lovingly imprinted in the hearts of his Mom and Dad, sisters as well as his grandparents Richard and Trudy Rowbottom and Wayne and Jeanette Faupel. Grayson will be missed by his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.

How quietly he
tiptoed into our world.
Softly, only a moment
he stayed
but what an imprint
his footprints have left
upon our hearts.


A private family service was held Monday, October 3, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Church with the Rev. Dan Stevenot officiating.
