James “Jim” Clyde Pullar of Calgary passed away on December 31, 2011 at the age of 90 years.  Jim will be lovingly remembered by his children: Judy (John) Morcom and Stewart Pullar; two grandchildren: Shelley and Michael; four great grandchildren: Christopher, Brandon, Sally and Lucy.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Yvonne “Kippy” Pullar; nieces: Trudy Steele, Joanne Feeney and Leah Ritz-Smythe; nephews: Stuart Allen and Tim Pullar plus numerous other relatives and friends.  Jim was predeceased by his wife Iris, infant son Gerald, brothers: Stewart and Harry, sister Wilda Barbosa.  A Celebration of Jim’s Life was held in the Chapel of Mountain View Funeral Home on Monday January 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm.  Interment followed at Mountain View Memorial Gardens. Marjorie Eleanor Lehman of Drumheller, Alberta, wife of Gus Lehman, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on January 1, 2012. Eldest child of Ernest and Minnie Hazzard, Marjorie was born September 5, 1927 in North Battleford, Saskatchewan.   After the family had relocated to Bienfait, Saskatchewan, her father was killed in an accident, and Marjorie left school at fourteen to help her mother support her five siblings. She married her first husband, Roy Schrock in 1946.  They moved with son Clayton to Rowley, Alberta, where daughter Lynda was born.  Daughter Brenda arrived after the family had moved to Drumheller. Marjorie and Roy divorced in 1968.  Marjorie later married Gus Lehman in 1975. In 1979, they moved to Medicine Hat, relocating to Hinton in 2002.  Early in 2007, Marjorie suffered an aortic aneurism; she was not expected to live, but her strength and tenacity pulled her through. Marjorie and Gus moved back to Drumheller later the same year.  Marjorie loved to crochet, cook, bake and garden.  In her younger years, she was an avid dancer.  She could often be heard singing and whistling, her merry blue eyes sparkling when she smiled.  Her household was always spotless; never a thing out of place.  She will be lovingly remembered and eternally missed by her family and friends.  Besides her loving husband Gus Lehman, Marjorie is survived by; her two daughters, Lynda (Gary) Collins, Brenda (Marlin) Taillefer, her son Clayton (Marjorie) Schrock and her two step-daughters Lorna (Don) Jarvis and Judy (Mel) Kapicki, as well as six grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and ten step-great-grandchildren.  Marjorie is also survived by; three sisters, Beatrice (William) Fletcher, Thelma (Benjamin) Alton, Bernice Finkas, half-sister Loretta (Jerry) Larson and brother Elmer (Evelyn) Hazzard, and sister in-law Dorothy Hazzard, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families.  Marjorie was predeceased by her parents Ernest and Minnie Hazzard, brother William Hazzard, and two step-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 14, 2012, at Courtney- Winters Funeral Home, 199 – 2 Street West, Drumheller, Alberta, with Jerry Beskowine officiating. Inurnment to follow in Drumheller Municipal Cemetery (for immediate family only). Flowers are gratefully declined. It is with the deepest regret and sadness that the family of Vernon Leslie Houghton, wishes to announce his passing on January 3rd, 2012 at the age of 82. Dad was born on the family farm on May 24, 1929 and was the youngest of seven children. After working at many different jobs from a very early age Vern married Lorna Hatt on April 19th 1952 and they settled in Rowley where he bought grain for many years. In the early 70’s opportunity came knocking and he was able to fulfil his lifelong dream of farming for himself. This he did until 1989 when they retired and moved to Drumheller. Vern was predeceased by his loving wife of 52 years Lorna, in March of 2005. In the spring of 2010 due to failing health he went to reside in the Continuing Care Unit of the Drumheller Health Centre where he remained until his passing.  Vern is survived by; his brother Ivan (Ann) of Rimbey AB., his two sons Rob (Becky) and Brent. As well as the very special loves of his life his grandchildren: Christopher Houghton, of York, England; Victoria and Cole Houghton of Drumheller. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday January 12, 2012 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church with Father Mario Basque officiating. Internment will take place in the Drumheller Municipal cemetery.
