KRYWCUN, Mary

It is with the deepest sadness that the family of Mary Krywcun announce her sudden passing on January 3rd .  Born in Chunograd, Hungary, she immigrated to Canada with her parents in 1922.     She spent her youth in the Rumsey district and married  Andrew  Krywcun in 1942, moving to Drumheller where her 5 children were born.    In 1958 the family moved back to the Rumsey district to farm.    Mary’s many  joys came from her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, her garden and trips to Hawaii.    Mary also loved to keep up to date on world events to which she was current to present times. She was predeceased  by her husband Andrew in 1989, her father Peter Abramenko, mother Flora, and  three brothers Paul, Nick and Bill. Mary will be lovingly remembered and missed by her cherished children June (Bryan) Aune, Shirley (Bob) Bogle, Gayle (Les) Todd, Paul (Arlene) Krywcun, Jim (Cindy) Krywcun; her grandchildren Noelle (Rick), Robyn (Rob), Melissa, Courtney, Jeremy, Derek (Claire), Leandra, Dallas, Shane; her great grandchildren Hannah and Clare and her brothers Pete and Hank.   A special thanks to Dr. Warness and his staff for their support and care they provided over the years.  Service was held Jan. 10, 2012 at the Rumsey Community Centre.  In lieu of flowers,  donations may be made directly to STARS.
