He spent some time in Thompson, Manitoba, before finally coming to Rolling Hills, Alberta, where he met “the love of his life,” Carol Wallace. They were married on October 14, 1978, and eventually settled into quiet rural life in Hussar, Alberta, with their four children. His oldest Mary Ann, her husband Scott Oxtoby, and their kids Jayden, Jack and Vanessa; Christopher, his wife Liz, and their daughter Evah; Nicole and her fiancé Tobias; and their youngest son Matthew. Surrounded by his loving family, Yves passed peacefully on the early morning of January 6, 2012.
