October 14, 1946 - February 7, 2017

Mr. Wesley Gordon Dyck of Carbon, Alberta passed away in Drumheller on February 7, 2017 at the age of 70 years. Wes was born on October 14, 1946 to David and Anna Dyck at Herbert, Saskatchewan. Wes started elementary school in Herbert, the family then moved to Saskatoon where he completed his junior and high school. Wes went on to become a residential and commercial electrician. Wes enjoyed camping, he was an avid NASCAR fan, and he enjoyed his trade. Spending time with his grandchildren and family were very special to Wes. He loved his dogs Heidi, Simi, and most recently Luna, even sharing his ice-cream, cookies and cheese with them. Wes will be missed by all of his family and friends. Wesley was predeceased by his parents David and Anna Dyck. Wesley leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Carole Weran of Carbon, Alberta, son Kraig Hillis of Winnipeg, Manitoba, step-son Lorne (Karen) Weran of Edmonton, Alberta, step-daughters Chrystal (Joe) Piva of McLure, B.C., Ivy (Cory)Weir of St. Albert, Alberta, grandchildren; Danielle, Nicholas, Ernest, Brayden, Brittany, Rachel, Cara, Mitchell, Matthew, Zachary, Madison, one brother, one sister, 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and a lifetime of friends. As per Wesley’s request there will be no formal funeral services. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
