Peter Kuchel passed away peacefully February 7, 2017 at the age of 92 years. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather and will be missed by all. He leaves to mourn his wife of 27 years Dorothy Kuchel; his daughter Susan (Paul) Worden and granddaughter Kelly; son Michael (Hema) Kuchel and grandsons Peter, Michael and Johnny; daughter Julie (Don) Wilson, grandson Donnie (Lauren), great-grandsons Rylan and Rhett, grandson Craig (Robyn) and granddaughter Kailey. He also leaves to mourn his step-family; step-daughter Shelley (Denis) Parry, grandson Matthew (Darcie) Rosgen, great-grandchildren Ashley, Evan and Rylee, and grandson Bradley Rosgen; step-son Dean (Tammy) Pollock, granddaughter Tiffany (Scott) Hutorow, and grandson Kurtis Pollock. Peter was born January 6, 1925 in Romania. He came to Canada at the age of five and after a short stay at Luseland, Sask., his family moved to Kerrobert, Sask., where Peter graduated from high school. He enlisted in the Air Force for two years, and then attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon graduating in Pharmacy in 1950. He worked in Saskatchewan, Regina, Moose Jaw and Mossbank before moving to Drumheller, Alberta in 1974 with his wife Winnifred and family. Winnifred passed away in 1985. In 1989 Peter married Dorothy Pollock and retired from pharmacy in 1990. He was predeceased by his father John Kuchel, mother Gerdle Kuchel, step-mother Marie Kuchel and brother John Kuchel. Funeral Services will be held at the Drumheller Alliance Church, 670-7th Ave. East, Friday, February 17, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Brent Rushinka officiating. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
