Linda Wiggins of Drumheller, Alberta passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a brief and courageous battle with cancer at the age of 54. Born August 7, 1955 in Calgary, Alberta, Linda spent most of her life in the place she loved the most, the Drumheller Valley. She moved to Medicine Hat for a brief time where she met and married the love of her life. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Bill, her four children Rhonda (Rocco), Jeff (Jessica), Troy (Toni), Megan (Stephen) and chosen son Mike. She is also survived by her mother Judy, sisters Donna (Frank), Tammy (Doug), brother Randy (Maddy) as well as several nieces and nephews. Left to cherish her loving memories are her grandchildren Shelby, Jaden, Taylor, Morgan, Makenna, Connor, Makayla and two new arrivals in May 2010. Waiting to welcome her home are her father Jiffy and beloved friend Lila. Although a hairdresser at heart, Linda worked several years at the Drumheller Penitentiary before finding her true calling at the Drumheller Hospital in Continuing Care where she showed an extreme love and passion for her elderly patients. A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at the Drumheller Inn on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Linda to the Canadian Cancer Society or Heart To Heart Society, Drumheller. 5p
