With profound sadness, we announce the sudden passing of Donna Ziegler at the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital on January 28, 2010. Donna as born in Kerrobert, Saskatchewan on September 25, 1948. Donna and her husband Carl met in Drumheller, spending their married life in Alberta; a major part in Olds then semi-retiring to their current community of Bassano. Donna will be deeply missed by her husband, Carl Ziegler of Bassano, her daughter, Cretia Morishita and sons Landen and Garett, and their father Brad Morishita, all of Rosemary, her son Bryon Ziegler (Leona MacDougall) and sons Marshall and Cody of Olds, brother Bruce (Nancy) Urbinsky of Drumheller and family, twin sister Doris (Lorne) Parkyn of Bassano and family, brother Glen (Sandy) Urbinsky of Condor and family, brother Danny (Linda) Urbinsky of Victoria, BC and family, sister Laurie (Gerry) Bunch of Valleyview and family and sister Delores (Gord) Periche of Rocky Mountain House and family. Donna was predeceased by her parents, John and Pauline Urbinsky, Uncle Paul Urbinsky and son, Gary Ziegler. Donna will also be greatly missed by the many friends and co-workers she had made over the years. There will be a memorial service in her honour at the Knox Presbyterian Church in Bassano, Alberta on Friday, February 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. with the luncheon following at the Bassano Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Diabetes Association or the Heart & Stroke Foundation. 5p
