May 20, 2017

David Allan Booth of East Coulee beloved husband of Cindy passed away peacefully after a short battle with cancer on May 20, 2017 at the age of 69 years. Dave was born in St. Boniface, MB and was raised in Calgary. Dave met Cindy in Calgary while playing baseball, which was one of his passions. They lived in Calgary until 2000, when they moved to East Coulee to raise their son Devon in a smalltown atmosphere. In East Coulee Dave built his sanctuary in their backyard with the camp kitchen, where over the years he had many good and long lasting memories with family and friends. Dave enjoyed living on the river where he loved to fish with Devon and enjoyed spending time on the dock. After Dave retired from the oil patch, he drove school bus for six and a half years. He enjoyed teaching the kids on the bus about nature and the animals along the route. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends especially his Son Devon who he was extremely proud of. Besides his loving wife Cindy, Dave leaves to mourn his son Devon, one sister Shirley (Jim) Wilson, one brother Frank Allan. David was predeceased by his parents Isabell and Ross Booth, two sisters, one brother, and two daughters. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Camp Kitchen, 367 River Drive, East Coulee, Alberta. Memorial donations may be made to the Drumheller Area Health Foundation (Home Care), 351-9th Street N.W., Drumheller, Alberta, T0J 0Y1. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of arrangements.
