Mrs. Lauretta Muriel Houghton (nee Lynch) passed away peacefully at her home in Red Deer on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the age of 75 years. Lauretta was born in Trochu, Alberta on December 22, 1940 and was raised in the Trochu area. Lauretta will live on in the memories of her children Tammi (Dave) Palmer of Gull Lake, Phyllis (Les) Forsyth of Rocky Mountain House, Jerry (Lena) Houghton of Red Deer, special granddaughters Alice and Calina, grandsons Dustin (Nicole) Adrian, Jesse Houghton and great-grandchildren Aspen, Clara, Chance, Jaxson, Charley and Cooper, four sisters and three brothers, along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Lauretta was predeceased by her loving husband Edward (Jackie), her parents Jack and Jean, and brothers John and Bryan. A memorial service will be held at Rumsey Community Hall, Rumsey, Alberta on Wednesday, March 30th, 2016 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to STARS, 1441 Aviation Park NE, Box 570.
