Mary Sarich passed away at the Drumheller Health Centre, Drumheller, Alberta, Tuesday March 24, 2009 at the age of 82.
Mary was born 1926 in Lincoln Illinois to Peter and Kata (nee Vrban) Rupcich. In 1927 the family moved to Bladworth, Saskatchewan where Mary grew up and in 1945 she married John Sarich.  They farmed in the Hanley area until 1948 and then moved to Kenaston where they raised their four children and continued to farm until 1974 when they retired and made their home in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. After her husband passed away Mary moved to Drumheller, Alberta in 2005. In 2007 she was diagnosed with a brain tumor. She amazed the doctors with her strength and courageous battle in the months that followed her surgery. Her love of life and the will to live was strong; however seven months following surgery God called her home.
Mary enjoyed gardening, knitting and cooking, but she took even greater pleasure in sharing her bounty with her family and friends. After moving to Saskatoon, Mary met many new friends while she successfully sold jewellery. She bowled, played bingo regularly, joined a woman’s gym and joined her friends for a shopping trip or just a nice walk. Her greatest pleasures however were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Mary  is survived by three children, daughter, Regina (Dan) Clements, Drumheller. AB, their children Brenda (Jeff) Hall, Drumheller, AB, Travis (Michelle) Clements, Saskatoon, grandson David Sarich (Vicky), Saskatoon, son Martin (Margaret) Sarich. 108 Mile Ranch BC, their children Lisa (Rob) Wynn, Kelowna BC, Renee, Vancouver, BC, son Allen (Catherine) Sarich, Saskatoon, SK., their children Tyler (Sarah) Saskatoon, Brennan, Toronto, ON, Adam (Torrie and her children Jayce, Taylor, Brook), Saskatoon, Clayton, and Martin, Saskatoon, three great grandchildren Zackary and Alexandria Wynn, and Keira Clements.
