Mr. Marvin Johnson of Nanton, Alberta passed away peacefully on October 8th, 2012 at the High River Hospital at the age of 74 years.  Marvin is survived by his loving wife Lynn; son Gord (Sue) and their daughters Amanda (Matt) Hanson, Cassidy and son Chris; daughter Suzanne (Jim) Ferguson and their daughter Isabelle; great – grandchildren Addison, Matthew and Makenna Hanson.  Marvin was born in Maidstone, Saskatchewan and moved to Nanton in 1963 where he met and then married Lynn Attwood in 1964.  They moved to Drumheller in 1972 where he worked in the trucking business until his retirement in 1998.  They lived in Sherwood Park for 8 years and then moved back to Nanton in 2006.  Marvin loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, sports and spending time with his family.  Family and friends were invited to a graveside service on Friday, October 12th at 2:00 p.m. at the Nanton Columbarium.  Everyone was then invited to a Memorial Reception following the graveside service at the Nanton Community Centre from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Bomber Command Museum of Canada, Box 1051, Nanton, AB, T0L 1R0.  To send condolences and view Marvin’s Tribute Page please visit www.lylereeves.com.  Caring for the family is Lyle Reeves Funerals of High River (Craig Snodgrass) 403.652.4242.
