image
On December 18th, 2015, at 1235 hours, RCMP Airdrie Rural, EMS and Rocky View Fire Services attended a two vehicle injury collision on Highway 567 and Range Road 284.  It appears a Chevrolet Avalanche was attempting to turn north on range road 284 when it was struck from behind by a Jeep Wrangler.

The 68 year old male driver of the Jeep, was transported to a Calgary area hospital via STARS air ambulance with serious non-life threatening injuries.
The 47 year old female driver of the Avalanche, was transported with minor injuries to a Calgary area hospital.

Highway 567 was closed and traffic was re-routed between Range Road 285 and 283 for approximately 2 hours to allow for STARS to land and investigators to complete their investigations.  The highway has since reopened to traffic.
