The DVSS Track and Field athletes have wrapped up their season participating in the Zone competitions.
On Tuesday, May 26, the Senior High team, consisting of Sam Brown and Jeremies Ibanga competed at zones in Calgary.
Sam Brown improved his time by 40 seconds in the 3,000m and placed 7th overall. Jeremies Ibanga ran in the 1,500m, improved his time and placed 11th overall.
The DVSS junior high track team made up of Tanner Boutin, Zach Suntjens, Connor Smith and Gabe Gumasing participated in Zones in Calgary on Tuesday June 2.
Boutin improved his time in the 3,000m by close to two minutes from the week before and placed 6th overall. Zach Suntjens ran in the 400m and placed 10th overall. Connor Smith participates in the long jump and placed 9th overall.
The team also ran in the 4 x 100m relay but did not place in the top 6.
