VENO, Albert “Bud” Richard

Albert “Bud” Richard Veno of Hanna passed away peacefully on August 15th at the age of 84 years at the Hanna Hospital. He leaves to mourn his passing his wife Helen of 58 years, 3 sons Don (Sheila), Hand Hills, Alberta; grandsons Justin Veno of Finnegan, Alberta and Brad Veno of Fort McMurray, Alberta; Dale, Strathmore, Alberta; Chester (Carolyn), Minnesota; Danna (Rich) Heise and great grandson Richard Heise of Austin, Texas; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His parents Cecil and Zelma and his brothers Ken and Harold predeceased him. Bud was the 3rd son of Cecil and Zelma born at High River, Alberta March 7, 1926.  Bud obtained his education at the Connorsville School. As a young man he left the farm and worked in the oil industry. He returned to the Ranch when his father died.   In 1998 Bud retired to Brooks. They moved back to Hanna where they continued to enjoy retirement until his passing. His passions were many; playing cards with his grandsons and neighbors, watching hockey most Saturday nights on T.V., going to casinos and doing some gambling, travelling to the different rodeos in the motor home, as well as going to the mall for coffee, visiting and reminiscing with friends. He also had a great love for his animals, the cows, horses and his dogs. His family and friends will fondly remember Bud. A family graveside service was held August 19th at the Lone Butte Cemetery with Rev Leila Currie officiating. If friends so desire donations may be made to S.T.A.R.S   1441 Aviation Park N.E.
