Doreen was born in Drumheller. She was predeceased by her parents Elijah and Sarah Williams, her brother Edward and sister Estelle. She is survived by her sister Irene (Lawrence) Cooper and friend Ben Patterson. She is also survived by Irene (John) Kohut, Carol (Roy) Braunberger, Jackie Davies, Ted (Gail) Rounds, Jim (Gwen) Markel and Paul (Sheila) Decosta and numeous great and great-great nieces and nephews. Auntie “DoeDoe” as she was affectionatley know by many, loved all children and was always ready to help whenever and with whomever she could. She will be sadly missed by all who ever knew her, especially all of her friends at the Manor One. She led a very active life until her quiet passing on Christmas Day. Memorial service will be held on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at the Royal Canadian Legion at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart to Heart Society of Drumheller.
