It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Helen, beloved mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother on Friday June 26, 2009. Helen was born in Wishaw, Scotland January 18, 1919. Her family moved to the U.S.A. in the early 1920’s then to Drumheller, Alberta a few years later. There, she went to school and later met and married her partner of sixty eight years, Harold Cowles. They had one child, daughter Beverly Joan Cowles (Larson). They resided in Drumheller until 1956, then moved to Calgary, then to Surrey, BC in 1963 and finally to Chilliwack in 2001. Helen is predeceased by her brother Robert Kerr in 2001 and her husband Harold in 2005. She was always active in her community and church organizations, and loved being with her family and grandchildren. We will all miss her. She is survived by her daughter Beverly of Chilliwack, Grandsons: Kevin (Judy) Larson of Chilliwack, Jeff (Kathy) Larson of Drumheller & Graham (Carrie) Larson of Victoria, Great Grandchildren Dale & Marissa, Kyle & Tyler, Reanna & Eric, sister Betty Cragg (Lindsay) of Oliver and brother Andy (June) Lindsay of White Rock.
