She is survived by her children - Patty of Calgary, George and his friend Billie of Sparwood, B.C., Connie and her husband Sandy Campbell of Craigmyle and Wyatt and his wife Cora of Melville, Saskatchewan; her grandchildren - Kiara and her husband Darin Leslie of Acme, Dana Naegeli of Blackfalds, Matthew, Jonathan and Chenae Campbell of Drumheller, Kayla, Carol and Tristan Naegeli of Melville, Zachary and Caleb Christensen of Sylvan Lake; Lexie King and her husband Gary of Red Deer and Trevor Larmondin and his wife Cindy of Ft. St. John, B.C. and her great-granddaughter Veronica Leslie of Acme. She is also survived by a son-in-law Jake Christensen and his wife Tracy of Sylvan Lake, a daughter-in-law, Georgina Lewis and her husband Pat of Red Deer; four brothers-in-law - Gordon, Ben, Bobbie and George Naegeli; two sisters-in-law - Elsie Pickering and Rita Bouvier; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her parents, her two sisters, her husband Tuffy and her youngest daughter Carol. Mom was born in Jenner, Alberta on February 13, 1927, the youngest daughter of Herman and Florence Millard. She graduated from Alexandria High School in Medicine Hat and moved to Verdant Valley where she taught school for one year. She then moved to Drumheller where she commenced her career as an accountant - firstly with CIBC, then with Kergan and Aagaard and finally and most proudly as the production accountant for Pan Canadian Petroleum. She retired from Pan Can in 1992 after 20 years of exemplary service. She met and married Don (Tuffy) Naegeli in 1951 and they raised their family in Midland. She had an immense pride in her children, grandchildren and her only great grandchild. Besides her family Mom enjoyed crocheting, bowling and bingo. She volunteered for the Special Olympics and did a lot of work with youth bowlers. At the time of her passing she was an active member of the Midland Community Hall Association. Mom was known for her homemade bread and is fondly remembered by one niece in particular for her dill pickles and fresh buns after school on Tuesdays. She spent the last few summers working in her garden and she enjoyed sharing its bounty with her family and friends. She lived her life by the golden rule. Mom was unassuming, kind, and truly a gracious lady. She brought joy and love to all of our lives and we will greatly miss her. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Knox United Church. Personal Alternative are in care of the arrangements. If friends so desire, donations in memory of Mom, can be made to Stars Air Ambulance.
