Joanne Fripps of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at the age of 89 years.
Joanne grew up on the family farm in Munson, AB. She went to Drumheller High School and stayed at the Dormitory where she made good friends. Joanne graduated from Mount Royal College, commercial school. She began her career at Marshall-Wells and then went on to the National Film Board where she was the Regional Film Librarian for many years. And in 1971, Joanne married the love of her life, James (Jim).
Joanne will be most remembered for her kindness, thoughtfulness, and sense of humour.
Joanne is survived by her daughter Kathleen of Calgary; nephew, Bart Matlock of Langdon and family; niece, Norma Jeanne Dodd of Virginia and family; nephew
Steven Tracy of Virginia; and nieces, Michelle Fripps of Chilliwack and family, and Kelley Fripps Cheung of Langley and family. Joanne was predeceased by her
husband Jim; parents, William and Hilda; sisters, Alice and Jeanne (twin); brother-in-law Doug, and sister-in-law Joan.
