Beryl Tremayne

October 9, 1934 - March 12, 2022

It is with deep sorrow and much love that the family of Beryl Tremayne Hergott (nee: Jeffrey) announces her peaceful passing on Saturday, March 12, 2022 at the age of 87.
She will be lovingly remembered by all her family including her husband of 10 years, Peter Guzak; children: Dale Hergott (Michele), Laurie Titiryn (Ray); grandchildren: Luke (Alysha), Abel, Mervyl; great-grandchildren: Kira, Zaiden, Kali, Jackson; and step-daughters: Pam (Stan), Trish (Stewart), Paula (Dennis). Also to cherish Beryl’s memory are her sister, Merrilyn Asquin, sister-in-law, Marguerite Jeffrey and numerous other family and friends.
Beryl was born in Drumheller, Alberta spending her early years on their family farm near Munson. She eventually moved to Peace River, Dawson Creek, B.C. and then Edmonton where she raised her two children and worked at the Alberta Public Trustee office. She loved to ride horses, sing and play music on her lap guitar (Dobro) and spent many years enjoying dancing. It was while playing music at a jam session that she met Peter Guzak in 2008. Together, they continued to play music with friends and family which always brought her great joy.
The family wishes to send a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at the University of Alberta, Royal Alexandra and Strathcona Hospitals as well as St. Joseph’s Palliative Care for their care and compassion.
A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Hainstock’s Funeral Home and Crematorium 9810 34 Ave Edmonton, AB. Memorial donations in Beryl’s name can be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
