BERTSCH, Quinton Allan

February 29, 1940 - February 5, 2017

It is with great sadness that we announce that Quinton Allan Bertsch went to be with his Lord and Saviour suddenly on February 5, 2017 at the Foothills Hospital. Quinton was born on February 29, 1940 in Drumheller, Alberta to Rudolph & Rosie Bertsch. Quinton was raised in the rural Carbon area on the family farm. He started his schooling in the Redland School, then moving to the Humboldt School, and completing his schooling at the Carbon School. Quinton met the love of his life in grade 8, Valerie Linda Tetz. They married on July 20, 1960 at the Zion Baptist Church. To this union two children were born, Joan and Jeffrey. Quinton and Valerie raised their children on the family farm. Quinton and Valerie worked side by side their entire married life. Quinton enjoyed farming, that besides his family was his passion. He loved visiting with family and friends. Quinton also enjoyed fishing at their campground” The Trout Farm”. They did take a trip to Texas to visit their daughter Joan and her family in later years. Quinton had a great devotion to God, and he lived his life as God intended. Quinton will be sadly missed by his loving wife Valerie, daughter Joan (Douglas) Stobee, son Jeffrey (Donna) Bertsch, grandchildren Aaron (Lacy) Stobee, Mitchell Stobee, Emily Stobee, Katrina Bertsch and Christian Bertsch. His sister Laverne (Peter) Buhler, brother Warren (Marg) Bertsch, numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and a lifetime of friends. Quinton was predeceased by his parents Rudolph and Rosie Bertsch, and infant sister Virginia Bertsch. Funeral Services for Quinton will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. from the Bethel Evangelical Missionary Church, 4th Ave. South, Three Hills, Alberta, a fellowship luncheon will follow the service in the church gym. Interment will be at the Leveland 7th Day Adventist Church Cemetery, Hwy 9 west of the junction of Hwy 9 & 21 at 4:00 P.M.
