AlexanderBrown

In Loving Memory Of
BROWN, Alexander Duncan (Sandy)

September 3, 1941 - August 31,2016

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Alexander(Sandy) Brown at the Drumheller Hospital on August 31st. Sandy was born the oldest of four children to Duncan and Muriel Brown on September 3, 1941. Sandy will be missed by his wife Irene, his children Sandy Jr., James, David and Catherine, his grandchildren; Amanda, Tyler, Matthew, and Alexandra, his daughters in law; Michelle and Rebecca, and his siblings: Duncan, Catherine Ashley and Elizabeth Nyhof. Sandy loved his acreage in Cambria, bird hunting, fishing and curling. He was a Kinsmen, a volunteer firefighter, and an executive member of the Drumheller Ducks Unlimited. Sandy loved the valley; he enjoyed hiking in the hills, canoeing and taking photos of the different seasons. On retirement, he travelled with his wife to Alaska, Peru, Mexico, Turkey, US and NZ. We are very proud of his commitment to nature, family and community. The family wishes a heart-felt thanks to Dr. Eksteen, the Foothills Hospital, Dr. Robert Graham and the doctors and nurses at the Drumheller Hospital. Condolences may be sent to Courtney Winters Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or the Drumheller Health Foundation.
