Clarena Sucee of Drumheller passed away peacefully after a lengthy illness on June 6, 2016 at the age of 93 years. Clarena was born January 4, 1923 in the City of Calgary, where she called home for 90 years of her life. Clarena (Betty) attended school in Calgary and from there went on to work for The Hudson’s Bay Company as a Bookkeeper for 35 years after which she retired. After retirement she enjoyed reading, needle point, and spending time with her family. She moved from Calgary to Drumheller where she resided at Hillview Lodge. Betty is survived by Daughters, Dale Hanson, and Margaret Mattock, Grandchildren, Brent Mattock, Brenda DeMille, Bryan Mattock (Lynn), Dawn Hanson, Darcy Hanson (Brenda), Great Grandchildren, Lindsay Bladen (Mike), Cassandra DeMille, Dallas DeMille, Kimberley Mattock, Rachel Mattock, Great Great Grandchildren, Parker Bladen and Madeline Bladen. Betty was predeceased by her parents, George and Clara Garnett, grandson, Daryl Hanson, Son-in-law, Arnold Hanson.A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes. If friends so desire memorial donations may be made in memory of Clarena to the Salvation Army or Canadian Cancer Society. Courtney-Winter’s Funeral Homes are in care of the arrangements.
