Edith Martha
Mrs. Edith Martha Zambo of Drumheller, beloved wife of Joseph Zambo passed away on November 24, 2015 at the age of 85 years. Edith was a Registered Nurse in the Northwest Territories until she married Joseph Zambo, and moved to Drumheller where she continued her nursing at the Drumheller Hospital. Edith collaborated with others to organize the first Day Care for the working people in Drumheller. Edith enjoyed watching her children grow up, loved gardening, and camping. Later on when Joe retired they returned to the N.W.T. to visit old friends and patients that she assisted in delivering. She also enjoyed her trip to Australia and Hawaii. We will miss her sharp wit and laughter, and our special Sunday milkshake visits! Edith will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Andrea of Calgary, Alberta, her sons, Terry (Cindy), Pat all of Drumheller, and one granddaughter, Kassandra Russell, 4 great granddaughters, Emilia, Elyse, Everly and Esmae Russell. A private family interment was held Monday November 30 at 1:00 P.M. at the Drumheller Cemetery. Courtney-Winters Funeral Homes were in care of the arrangements.
